**Terrorism and Kidnapping Charges for Threatening Music Group**
The State Attorney General’s Office is pushing for three men to face trial for terrorism and illegal deprivation of liberty, as they were allegedly involved in threatening a popular music group to cancel their performance at the Mazatlán Carnival scheduled for March 1, 2025.
The initial hearing took place on Tuesday, March 25, with the next hearing set for Friday, March 28, at 1:00 p.m. The prosecution presented testimony from a long-time acquaintance of the three suspects, detailing the planning and placement of a threatening banner on a bridge in Tijuana on February 25.
Identified as Christian N., Miguel N., and Luis N., the accused have prior criminal records. Authorities reported that they convened in Tijuana the day before the incident to plot their actions with a fourth accomplice known as “Yuri,” who assisted in delivering the message and human remains attached to the banner.
The investigation involved analyzing surveillance footage, which showed the suspects traveling from a Tijuana residence to the scene in two vehicles. Following the incident, they were tracked to various locations before being picked up and returned home, leading to the arrest of Miguel N. and the seizure of evidence.
The authorities are pursuing charges under the state’s penal code, highlighting the calculated and malicious nature of the crimes.
