**Conquering Baja: Toros de Tijuana to Shine in Baja Series**
The Toros de Tijuana baseball team will wrap up their preseason by participating in the upcoming Baja Series, scheduled to take place from April 10 to 13, 2025, in La Paz, Baja California Sur. Enrique Couoh, the sports manager of the border team, alongside Andrés Arce, the president of the event, made the announcement. This marks the sixth consecutive year of this exciting quadrangular event, held at Estadio Arturo C. Nahl, and the third year featuring teams from the Mexican Baseball League (LMB). Previous champions like the Pericos de Puebla in 2023 and Diablos Rojos del México in 2024 have also launched their seasons here.
The Toros will begin their preseason tour on March 28, with games planned in Monterrey, Saltillo, Torreón, Aguascalientes, and concluding in La Paz. This journey through the southern part of the peninsula will prepare them for the LMB’s 2025 season opener against Rieleros de Aguascalientes on April 18 at Chevron Stadium.
Andrés Arce expressed his excitement, stating, “Since the inception of the Baja Series, we’ve eagerly awaited the participation of the Toros de Tijuana due to their massive fan following in Baja California Sur. We’re thrilled to confirm their participation in La Paz with their full roster of stars.”
The Baja Series began in 2023, initially hosting games between Pericos and El Águila de Veracruz. In 2024, the event featured the Diablos Rojos del México facing off against Algodoneros de Unión Laguna. This year marks the first time four LMB teams—Bravos de León, Charros de Jalisco, Piratas de Campeche, and Toros de Tijuana—will compete in La Paz.
