**Violence Surges in Tijuana: Man Shoots Alleged Psychic**

Violence reigned in Tijuana over the last 24 hours, resulting in the death of five people, most of whom suffered fatal gunshot wounds. One notable incident involved the killing of a woman, reportedly a psychic, who was gunned down at her tarot reading business on the afternoon of Friday, October 4th.

This tragic event unfolded in the El Dorado neighborhood around 4:14 PM. Witnesses reported a man entering the woman’s business and immediately opening fire on the 64-year-old victim. She succumbed to injuries from shots to her forehead.

In another disturbing case, a male headless body was discovered on the scenic highway near the La Joya Bridge in the La Joya neighborhood at 7:35 AM the same day. Authorities noted the body bore signs of violence.

Additionally, authorities found the body of a man, aged between 45 and 50, inside a trunk left on a neighborhood trail in the upscale Playas de Tijuana area. This grim discovery took place at 12:59 PM. The man had suffered head injuries and visible signs of violence.

Later, a 23-year-old man was found dead inside a parked vehicle on Castillo de Gala Street in the Playas de Tijuana district. Alongside him, the car’s passenger, a 28-year-old, sustained a gunshot wound to the left shoulder.

In an early morning discovery at 1:19 AM on Saturday, October 5th, a car parked haphazardly in the Libertad Lower Part neighborhood was found to contain a suitcase in the trunk, which harbored another dead body.

These incidents contribute to a chilling total of 15 murders in Tijuana by October 2024, with the city amassing 1,452 homicides through the entire year, making it the most violent municipality in Baja California. Mexicali ranks second with six October murders and 164 in the year; followed by Ensenada at 99 annual murders. Tecate, Rosarito, San QuintĂ­n, and San Felipe continue to add to the regional violence.
