**Shooting Incident in Tijuana’s Ruiz Cortines Neighborhood**
A man, believed to be between the ages of 25 and 30, was shot on the night of Saturday, October 26th, in the Ruiz Cortines neighborhood of Tijuana. The attack occurred at 10:42 PM on Antonio Salvatierra Street. According to witnesses, while the victim was conversing with a friend, an unidentified man approached and fired shots at him. Following the incident, the victim managed to transport himself to the Tijuana General Hospital to receive medical attention.
Ruiz Cortines has recently been identified as one of the more dangerous areas, recording a significant number of crime reports over the past year. There have been 16 complaints related to drug dealing, six for vehicle theft and domestic violence, five for violent homicide, and two for robbery with violence and fraud.
The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reports that this shooting is the only significant violent event in Tijuana within the last 24 hours, as no other intentional homicides have been recorded.
