## Two Arrested in Connection with Shooting in Tijuana’s Downtown Area

Authorities have apprehended two men following a suspected shooting incident in the downtown region of Tijuana. The suspects, identified as Cristopher “N” and Juan Carlos “N,” aged 21 and 24, were detained by the local police as they allegedly attempted to flee the scene after firing shots at two individuals.

The incident occurred around 9 PM on March 29, 2025, when victims Jorge Ríos and Juan Manuel Hernández, both 55, were shot within a grey Dodge Town Country vehicle, which was situated at the intersection of Third Street and Madero Avenue. Jorge sustained gunshot wounds to both legs, while Juan Manuel was injured in the right arm and left leg. Paramedics promptly arrived and provided initial medical care before transporting the victims to a hospital, where they remain in stable condition.

In response, the Tijuana Department of Public Safety and Citizen Protection launched a pursuit to capture the alleged attackers. Officers noticed a suspect matching the description provided by the victims running down Madero Avenue towards Fifth Street, leading to his immediate detention. Utilizing surveillance camera footage, another suspect was apprehended near Coahuila Street and Madero Avenue in the Zona Norte neighborhood.
