On Sunday, August 18, the fifth event of the 2024 Rodeo season took place at Arena Rancho Casián in Tijuana. The event saw impressive performances from various riders and barrel racers from the local Circuito Estatal. The main attraction, the bull riding competition, was won by Javier García with a score of 70.

“This is my first season back after competing in the United States, and participating in the Circuito Estatal and Federation has been great. My experience abroad has taught me a lot, and now I’m focusing on preparing for the Nationals in Chihuahua. My goal is to be the champion,” stated Javier García, who claimed victory for the second consecutive month.

Rubén Navarro, representing Rancho Casián, noted the improvement in both the competitors and the livestock as the season progresses. “We are very grateful to the audience who always show up. In the bull riding event, Javier García took another win, just like in July. Overall, all the disciplines had strong competition, excellent times, and high-level performances,” Navarro explained.

There are still two more dates left in the calendar, with the next event set for Sunday, September 22, at the Bulevar 2000 venue, which will celebrate its 18th anniversary. The season will conclude in November.
