### No Set Date for the Distribution of Prepaid Cards in Tijuana’s Agua Caliente Corridor
*Tijuana, August 19, 2024* – The Instituto de Movilidad Sustentable (Imos) has yet to confirm a date for the release of the second batch of prepaid cards for users of the new Agua Caliente corridor units. These golden cards, specifically for seniors and students, are currently available at the Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare.
Jorge Alberto Gutiérrez Topete, Director of Imos, mentioned last week that around 70,000 general credentials would be distributed soon, directly at the Agua Caliente corridor. By the end of 2023, Imos had placed a module at the 5 and 10 crossroad to distribute approximately 10,000 cards to those presenting their National Electoral Institute (INE) credentials.
Users can start recharging their cards at conventional stores located along Agua Caliente Boulevard, according to the organization. Moreover, plans are underway to set dates and times for additional distribution modules.
Previously, recharge points are both on the corridor, spanning from Zona Centro to Pinos Presa. In Plaza Galerías Hipódromo, there is a vending machine where users can purchase and recharge their cards for 100 pesos, covering six trips.
The gold cards, reserved for seniors and students, can be found at the Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare in Plaza Patria. The Maas Transit subsystem launched last November with 31 buses: 16 black and 15 of the Violeta Route, running from La Presa Abelardo L. Rodríguez to Zona Centro. This project aims to meet user demand and transition to a digital payment system.
