### San Antonio de los Buenos Plant Set to Operate by December

Tijuana – The construction of the San Antonio de los Buenos plant is nearing completion and is expected to finish in October, with testing to commence the following month, according to Arturo Espinoza Jaramillo, Secretary of Infrastructure and Territorial Development (Sidurt).

Espinoza Jaramillo noted that the 50 percent of the necessary equipment, including pumps, cleaning systems, and chlorination systems, has already arrived at the site. He emphasized that the nature of the plant’s operations involves completing the civil engineering work and then beginning rigorous testing, as the quality and characteristics of the incoming wastewater can vary.

In a recent meeting with Imperial Beach government officials and the United States International Boundary and Water Commission (CILA), it was agreed that the plant would reach a stable operating state by December. “By December at the latest, we expect the plant to produce 100 percent clean water,” said Espinoza Jaramillo.
