On November 12th, Apolinar Fernández Álvarez was sworn in as the new Secretary of Urban Sustainable Mobility, replacing María del Pilar Vázquez Hernández.
Mayor Burgueño announced on his social media platform, “Today, I have officially sworn in Apolinar Fernández Álvarez as the new Secretary of Urban Sustainable Mobility, and I wish him the best in this new role.”
Apolinar Fernández succeeds María del Pilar Vázquez Hernández, who has transitioned to her new position as Secretary of Organization within the State Executive Committee of Morena. Reflecting on her contributions, the mayor added, “I thank María del Pilar Vázquez for her work during her tenure in the Secretariat. I am confident that her return to party duties will continue to contribute to the transformation of Baja California.”
According to the Secretariat of the Civil Service, Apolinar Fernández Álvarez previously held positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an area director within the General Directorate of Delegations. Additionally, he serves as a substitute for the Morena Deputy in the Baja California Congress, Eligio Valencia, and was initially appointed as Coordinator of Municipal Delegations in Burgueño’s administration.
