Properties in Privada Herradura have been classified as a risk zone due to a recent landslide in the Lomas Conjunto Residencial development. According to Municipal Civil Protection (PCM), at least six homes have been marked with yellow labels due to detected ground settlements at the back of their plots.

Residents of Cañón El Salado Street reported that PCM personnel visited the area two weeks ago for monitoring. On August 26, the affected homes were officially labeled. Liz Calderón, a resident, expressed concerns over the appearance of cracks and settlements on their land, which pose a direct threat to the homes.

“The fear is that the cracks and settlements might compromise the foundations of the houses. My bedroom is at the back and is made of light material. It seems to be separating from the concrete wall, which is the original structure of the house,” Calderón explained.

Municipal Civil Protection continues to monitor the situation closely, but some residents are hesitant to abandon their homes despite the risks. The landslide has impacted a total of 94 properties to date, sparking significant concern in the community.
