Tijuana Independence Day Closure

“On Monday, September 16, Tijuana City Hall observes a public holiday in honor of Mexico’s 214th Independence Day. Essential services remain operational, as security measures increase citywide.”

## Monday, September 16: A Public Holiday for Tijuana City Hall

The XXIV Ayuntamiento de Tijuana has announced that Monday, September 16, will be a public holiday for its municipal employees, in celebration of Mexico’s 214th Independence Day anniversary. This decision means that most government offices, including all secretariats, delegations, and paramunicipal offices, will not be operational on that day.

However, essential services will remain active with emergency shifts. The departments that will maintain these shifts include the Municipal Security and Citizen Protection Secretariat (SSPCM), the Municipal Public Services Department (DSPM), the Fire Department, and the Civil Protection Department.

Regular activities and office hours at the Municipal Palace, delegations, and paramunicipal offices will resume on Tuesday, September 17. Citizens can conduct their usual transactions starting from that day.
