### Public Transport Notice for Halloween in Tijuana
Residents of Tijuana are advised of reduced public transportation services on Halloween night, October 31. Jorge Alberto GutiƩrrez Topete, head of the Sustainable Mobility Institute (Imos), announced that while public transportation will continue to operate, the number of vehicles on several routes will be limited.
It’s common for a significant number of people to travel to downtown Tijuana on buses during Halloween, which could make return trips challenging. However, taxis along Agua Caliente Boulevard and metropolitan transport services between Tijuana and Playas de Rosarito will maintain their 24-hour operation.
In comparison, Mexicali halts public transport from 7 PM due to historical issues with vandalism. In Tijuana, no such early suspension has been requested, and the authorities are evaluating the situation to decide on any necessary changes to the service. Meanwhile, the city administration has announced increased security measures with 469 municipal police officers, along with 197 units and 12 traffic motorcycles, scheduled to monitor the festivities from 3 PM to 3 AM.
