### Municipal Transition Progresses in Tijuana
**Tijuana, August 5, 2024** – The transition efforts in Tijuana’s municipal government are already underway, starting earlier this week, as announced by Marcelo Machain Servín, the city’s Chief Officer. Transition teams formed by the outgoing and incoming administrations have scheduled daily meetings from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, continuing until the last working day of September.
Machain Servín stated that the initial engagement occurred last Wednesday with the outgoing mayor and the mayor-elect. Following this, a meeting with area heads took place on Monday morning to coordinate and align on the designated meeting schedule.
The representatives from the forthcoming administration have displayed a keen interest in specific issues. The current administration has been providing them with all the necessary information to ensure a smooth handover by October 1.
“The general coordinator has emphasized a strong interest in financial matters, security, and migration issues,” Machain Servín elaborated. “However, we will be addressing all topics throughout this transition process.”
