## Enhanced Security and Commerce Initiatives: Goals of New Delegates in Tijuana
On October 7, 2024, new delegates took office in Tijuana, aiming to address critical issues, particularly security and infrastructure challenges. The recently appointed delegate for the Presa Este district, Óscar Valenzuela, has outlined a comprehensive plan to tackle these problems over the next three years.
Valenzuela, who has previously served as a municipal delegate for Sánchez Taboada in 2019, highlighted the need for collaboration with state and federal authorities to support local communities. The delegates who were unanimously elected span across different regions of Tijuana, each responsible for implementing similar initiatives within their territories. Some of the notable appointments include José Luis Portillo Reyes in Centro, Bianca Najar Soto in Mesa, and Teresa GarcÃa Bañuelos in Sánchez Taboada, among others.
