### Bloody Friday in Tijuana: Nine Bodies and Human Remains Discovered
On Friday, August 9, Tijuana experienced a violent day as authorities discovered at least 11 bodies in various locations throughout the city. Some of the bodies showed signs of gunshot wounds, while others were in advanced stages of decomposition.
The first body was found at 7:47 AM next to the Tecate-Tijuana highway. The deceased, a man believed to be between 35 and 40 years old, was wrapped in a purple blanket.
At 4:44 PM, authorities in the Sánchez Taboada neighborhood discovered three human remains and an incomplete body. On Leo Street, at the corners of Jupiter and Capricorn Streets, a plastic bag containing a human head and two lower limbs, belonging to a male aged 25 to 30, was found. Approximately 300 meters away, a white canvas wrapped the incomplete body of a man missing his upper and lower limbs and head.
Later that day, at 6:52 PM, another body was discovered on the sidewalk of San Abraham Street in the San Ángel neighborhood within the Playas de Tijuana delegation. The man, estimated to be between 30 and 35 years old, had multiple injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
At 8:10 PM, in the Artesanal neighborhood of the San Antonio de los Buenos delegation, another unidentified man was found dead on Enciso Street. This victim, estimated to be between 55 and 60 years old, also had gunshot wounds.
Just a minute later, at 8:11 PM, two more bodies were found on Santiago Altamira Street in the Altamira neighborhood, Zona Centro delegation. The first body, a man estimated to be between 35 and 40 years old, had gunshot wounds to the chest and right arm. The second body, a man aged between 50 and 55, had a tourniquet around his neck and frontal injuries.
At 10:35 PM, a man’s head was found inside a maroon backpack on a pedestrian bridge over Federico Benítez Boulevard, in the Las Brisas neighborhood. The head, wrapped in a red and white sweatshirt, belonged to a man estimated to be between 40 and 45 years old.
Finally, at 11:57 PM, the bodies of three men were discovered inside the trunk of a gray KIA sedan in the Montes de los Olivos ramp, near the Cespt water treatment plant in the Imaq neighborhood. Preliminary information suggests that the victims were aged between 35 and 50 years, but none have been identified.
