In the early hours of Wednesday, November 20, 2024, a devastating house fire broke out in the Soler neighborhood of Tijuana. The blaze tragically claimed the lives of two individuals and left a young girl injured. Tijuana’s Fire Department responded to the emergency call around 5:45 a.m., arriving at Heraclio Bernal street to find the home engulfed in flames, along with two vehicles.
Firefighters worked tirelessly to rescue a man, approximately 46 years old, who received CPR on the scene. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at 6:25 a.m. A six-year-old girl was also rescued and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Additionally, during an inspection of the charred remains of the home, another body and a dog were found.
