### Monday, September 23 Will be a Non-Working Day for Tijuana Municipality Employees

**September 20, 2024 – Tijuana, Baja California** – The Tijuana City Council has announced that Monday, September 23, will be a non-working day for the base-level employees of the municipal government. This observance is in honor of the 87th anniversary of the Union of Workers Serving the Powers of the State, Municipalities, and Decentralized Institutions of Baja California.

Marcelo de Jesús Machain Servín, the Chief Administrative Officer, stated that although the anniversary falls on Sunday, September 22, the official day off will be observed on Monday, September 23, for base-level employees only. He also assured that essential public services will continue to be provided efficiently to prevent any inconvenience to the residents.

Normal activities are scheduled to resume on Tuesday, September 24.

In related news, the new dome constructed at Tijuana’s City Hall will be covered under an insurance policy for six months. The construction company has also provided a bond, which will be returned after the first six months of the infrastructure’s use.
