Tijuana – The construction efforts at the Playas de Tijuana boardwalk continue to be halted, causing safety concerns due to insufficient signage in the area, according to local users. Observations from a recent visit confirm that while there are some notices about the ongoing municipal work, these are still deemed inadequate.
“It’s impossible to walk here; everything is dirty, and there are no barriers,” said local resident Lorena Bernal. “It’s a perilous situation, especially for children and the elderly. This has been going on for a long time, and only recently have they started to put up signs.”
María Cristina Hernández, another local, pointed out that the upcoming months’ work will pose additional dangers, as it coincides with the rainy season. “I don’t understand why they started working now. The rains are coming, and this will cause further delays, making it even more hazardous,” she remarked.
