**Tijuana, Baja California** — The security committee in Baja California is conducting a coordinated evaluation to determine the origins of the recent armed attacks that took place at the bar, Cueva del Peludo. This was announced by Fernando Sánchez González, the head of the Tijuana Municipal Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPCM).

“This week we had two attacks at that location. The security committee is analyzing the situation in conjunction with the State Prosecutor’s Office and other state and federal institutions to identify what is happening at that venue,” stated Sánchez González.

In the early hours of this past Sunday, an armed attack was reported in the parking lot of the bar, located on Gustavo Díaz Ordaz Boulevard. The victims, two unidentified men, were taken to a hospital for medical treatment by Red Cross paramedics.

Sánchez González mentioned that he communicated with the commander of the Second Military Zone on Sunday to discuss the armed attack at the bar and the necessary presence of authorities while the investigation is carried out.

He emphasized that the State Prosecutor’s Office (FGE) is conducting the investigations to identify the root cause of the problems at the bar and to locate the perpetrators of the violence in the area.

On the night of Wednesday, September 4, another armed attack at Cueva del Peludo left two individuals injured and one deceased. One man was pronounced dead at the scene due to gunshot wounds, while two others were transported to a hospital by paramedics.
