### CCE Tijuana Calls for Airport to be Unblocked, Immediate Effects Noted

The business community in Tijuana is appealing to residents of the Ejido Maclovio Rojas to refrain from obstructing access to the Tijuana International Airport, as expressed by Carlos Jaramillo Silva, President of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) of the city. The blockade, which began before midnight on Tuesday, stems from the residents’ demand for the regularization of their land.

Jaramillo Silva highlighted the strain on freight transport, which has been immobilized as trucks remain stranded with no access to the necessary routes. Additionally, tourism and general public mobility have suffered significantly due to the restricted access to the airport.

“We are facing immediate and substantial impacts, including canceled flights, blocked roads, and a tarnished image of the city, affecting tourists among others. Therefore, decisive actions must be taken,” Jaramillo Silva stated. He urged for the roads to be cleared and for alternative means of communication with authorities to be explored without disrupting public life.

While respecting the right to protest, Jaramillo Silva emphasized that when individual rights infringe upon the collective rights of the community, it becomes an issue. Similarly, Alejandro Jaramillo Osuna, President of the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (Canacintra) Tijuana, insisted on upholding the rule of law.

In response to the blockade, the Tijuana International Airport has initiated shuttle and aerocar services to facilitate passenger transit to the terminal. However, as of this morning, no statements have been made by state or federal authorities regarding the blockade.

### Residents of Maclovio Rojas Demand Land Regularization with Protests

Residents of the Ejido Maclovio Rojas continue to disrupt access to the Tijuana International Airport in a bid for the regularization of their land. Tuesday night saw both directions of the boulevard leading to the airport being blocked, causing a significant uproar in the community.

Many freight and cargo operations have been crippled, affecting the city’s supply chain. Tourists and citizens attempting to reach the airport were met with roadblocks and significant delays. The situation has prompted business leaders to call for a peaceful resolution that does not disadvantage the broader community.

Despite the protests, authorities at both state and federal levels have yet to address the blockade publicly. The Tijuana International Airport has taken steps to mitigate the disruption by providing shuttle and aerocar services, allowing affected passengers some measure of relief.

As discussions continue, the residents of Maclovio Rojas remain steadfast in their demand for legal recognition and regularization of their land, a longstanding issue that has now come to a head with these recent demonstrations.
