### Tijuana’s Pollution Levels Reach Alarming Heights; Authorities Urged to Issue Alert
**Tijuana:** Over the past two days, Tijuana has been experiencing dangerously high levels of air pollution, according to Carlos Bustamante, a representative from the Redspira Association. Some of the city’s sensors have even recorded levels in the red zone, posing a significant health risk to the population.
The most affected area is Zona Río, which reports very poor air quality. Bustamante noted that multiple forest fires on both sides of the border have contributed to this rise in pollution levels, along with increased temperatures.
“The level of contamination is visibly noticeable in the sky,” said Bustamante. “We are currently at dangerous levels, and there should be a contingency plan in place. An alert should be issued to vulnerable populations, particularly those with respiratory conditions.”
He advised residents to avoid outdoor activities and seek medical attention if they experience symptoms of respiratory illnesses.
