### “Warm Aid” Delivers Blankets and Food to the Homeless in Tijuana
This morning, Caliente Ayuda, with support from Alba Roja Union volunteers, Brigada 4×4, Tijuana’s public safety officials, and councilor Raniel Falcón Martínez, embarked on a mission to help those living on the streets in Tijuana. Their team of over 15 dedicated volunteers traversed the area known as the Río, providing more than 250 blankets, along with hot chocolate and bread, to residents living in harsh conditions, including many families with children.
This initiative marks the first time Caliente Ayuda has conducted such an outreach during the winter season. Their efforts include visiting shelters for migrants, orphanages, and various streets and avenues where homeless individuals seek refuge. The organization also distributed aid at the House of the Poor, the General Hospital of Tijuana, and Lieutenant Guerrero Park, along with surrounding areas.
It’s estimated that there are upwards of 2,500 individuals living in homelessness in the city center. The charitable events organized by Caliente Ayuda are set to continue throughout December as they strive to support those in precarious living conditions.

In recent developments, it was reported that the Salesian soup kitchen has had to reduce medical services due to a funding shortfall. They are actively seeking assistance from the community to maintain essential support for the homeless.
Furthermore, there are efforts underway to integrate elderly homeless individuals into pension programs, even if they lack formal documentation. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance and improve living conditions for this vulnerable group.
On a separate note, local merchants are requesting increased police presence in the peripheral areas of Tijuana, as concerns about safety have mounted. Consequently, the tourist police have initiated patrols on electric scooters in the city’s central zone to enhance security.
