### Missing Teen in Tijuana: 14-Year-Old Unlocated After Escaping Shelter
Camila Shalom, a 14-year-old girl, remains missing 11 days after escaping from a state-run shelter in Tijuana. Her last known location was the Colonia Río Tijuana Tercera Etapa, near the shelter. The General State Prosecutor’s Office issued a search plea on September 24, but her whereabouts are still unknown, according to her mother, Elizabeth Higuera.
Elizabeth only learned of her daughter’s disappearance two days after the escape and was informed that Camila may have exited the facility through the laundry area or by scaling a wall to a nearby shopping plaza. Since then, Elizabeth, with the help of friends and family, has conducted numerous searches around the city, particularly after a reported sighting near Tijuana’s Zona Centro, but to no avail.
This incident occurred after Camila was placed in the shelter following her capture by authorities, having been away from home for a week. Elizabeth was unable to retrieve her daughter immediately due to her participation in a police formation course. She appeals to the public for any information that could help locate Camila, describing her as having a medium build, standing at 1.62 meters, with distinctive dark brown, shoulder-length hair, and a visible mole on her right shoulder.
