**Suspect Arrested in the Murder of Young Ariday in Tecate**

In Tecate, authorities have arrested a suspect linked to the tragic murder of 14-year-old Ariday. The suspect, initially identified by the alias “El Chino,” does not appear to be affiliated with any criminal organization. Allegedly, the motive behind this horrific act was personal differences.

On September 18, 2024, under the cover of night, the suspect entered Ariday’s family home while the family was asleep. In a chilling act, he located the young girl in a bedroom and fatally shot her in the head while she slept next to her nine-month-old brother. As he fled, Ariday’s mother confronted him, and he fired twice at her, narrowly missing as she escaped the gunfire.

Emergency services were called to the scene and provided medical assistance to Ariday, a dedicated student and athlete. Despite their efforts, she succumbed to her injuries a few hours later at the hospital while receiving treatment. The State Attorney General’s Office is expected to release more details regarding the arrest on Tuesday, October 29.
