**Massive Fentanyl Seizure in Sinaloa Linked to Notorious Cartel Leader**
In a significant operation, Omar Hamid García Harfuch, head of the Federal Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, announced on December 3, 2024, a historic seizure of fentanyl in Sinaloa. The joint efforts of the Federal Secretariat, the Navy (SEMAR), National Defense (DEFENSA), the Attorney General’s Office, and the National Guard led to the confiscation of approximately 1,500 kilos of fentanyl pills. Two individuals were arrested, and firearms were also confiscated during this pivotal action.

In Guasave, two suspects, allegedly affiliated with El Chapo Isidro, were apprehended with fentanyl and firearms. Over a ton of fentanyl was also found in Ahome and in two properties in the area.
