Playas de Rosarito – In a significant move aimed at addressing housing needs, President Claudia Sheinbaum visited Playas de Rosarito to inaugurate the National Housing Program. The initiative sets an ambitious goal of constructing 50,000 homes in the Baja California region, forming part of a larger nationwide effort to build one million affordable residences.
This program is particularly focused on supporting vulnerable groups, including single mothers, young adults, indigenous communities, and the elderly. In Playas de Rosarito, approximately 500 homes will be developed with a priority on female beneficiaries. During her visit, Sheinbaum highlighted the crucial role of intergovernmental cooperation in ensuring the program’s success and also addressed regional priorities, such as enhancing access to potable water.
