**Sheinbaum Commits to Decent Housing and Water Supply for Baja California Sur**

During her latest visit to Baja California Sur, President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum renewed her promises to the community, affirming that her administration will focus on ensuring decent housing and reliable water supply for the residents of the region.

“We will provide decent housing for all tourism sector workers in Baja California Sur,” Sheinbaum stated, pledging to address the disparity between the luxurious hotel zones and the neighborhoods where these workers live. She acknowledged that this promise stems from her presidential campaign and declared her intention to launch this program for the Baja California Peninsula during her term.

“This social inequality we see in Los Cabos and other parts of the country, where there are rooms costing hundreds of dollars while workers do not have decent housing, is something we will continue to address,” Sheinbaum emphasized.

Speaking to the people of Los Cabos, she mentioned her meetings with State Governor Víctor Castro Cosío and other state officials to tackle the ongoing water crisis. “We will continue with the program to provide potable water to all of Baja California Sur, particularly the La Paz dam,” she promised.

Reiterating her commitment to the public, Sheinbaum assured the crowd that her government would not fall back on previous corrupt practices. She stressed the importance of continuing the work initiated by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador under the Fourth Transformation of Mexico’s public life.

Adding to her list of priorities, Sheinbaum promised to repair roadways throughout the state, specifically addressing the poor condition of the Transpeninsular Highway, which has suffered due to budget constraints from the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transport.

She reconfirmed her dedication to the values championed by López Obrador, emphasizing that the government’s wealth should reflect the well-being of its people. This commitment includes maintaining social welfare programs such as pensions for the elderly, scholarships for youth, and support for individuals with disabilities.

“We will make scholarships universal for all students in basic education: preschool, primary, and secondary. Next year, we will start with all secondary school students, and we will continue to ensure universal scholarships,” she concluded.
