Tijuana – The Federal Secretariat of Welfare has announced that the registration for senior citizen pensions will be open from August 19 to August 31. This opportunity is available for individuals turning 65 between July and August. Senior citizens are encouraged to visit any of the Welfare modules, which operate from Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM. Secretary Montiel advises those eligible to check the official website of the Secretariat of Welfare at gob.mx/bienestar for detailed information on registration dates and the locations of the welfare modules.
To ensure effective service, the registration process will follow a schedule based on the initial letter of the senior citizen’s last name:
– **A, B, C**: Monday, August 19 and 26
– **D, E, F, G, H**: Tuesday, August 20 and 27
– **J, K, L, M**: Wednesday, August 21 and 28
– **N, Ñ, O, P, Q, R**: Thursday, August 22 and 29
– **S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z**: Friday, August 23 and 30
– On Saturdays, August 24 and 31, individuals with last names starting with any letter can register.
To register, seniors need to provide a valid official ID, birth certificate, CURP (Unique Population Registry Code), a proof of address not older than six months, and a contact phone number. Moreover, seniors are allowed to appoint an auxiliary person for assistance in the registration process. This representative must present the same documents.
