**Community Efforts in Tijuana: Gelatina, “the Trembling Survivor”** Residents rally to find Gelatina, a courageous dog with a harrowing past. Local assistance requested for her safe return. Let’s reunite Gelatina with her loving owner!

**Community Seeks Help to Find Missing Dog, Gelatina, in Tijuana**

Residents of Tijuana are coming together to help find Gelatina, a 2-year-old female dog who went missing on October 22nd. Gelatina was last seen in the Sánchez Taboada neighborhood, along Osa Mayor street. Her owner, Rubén Martínez, is appealing to the community for assistance in locating her.

Gelatina is a mixed-breed with light brown eyes and fur. She has a distinct condition that causes her to tremble frequently and a fracture in one of her right legs, causing her to limp. Her disappearance is heartbreaking for Rubén, especially since she was lost alongside two Husky dogs, who have since been found, but there have been no sightings of Gelatina.

Rubén took to Facebook, creating a page dedicated to finding Gelatina, sharing her story and stressing the importance of bringing her home. As he recounted, he first met Gelatina in May 2023, after leaving a party. She was among several street dogs searching for food. What caught his attention was her trembling and difficulty in walking as larger dogs pushed her away from food.

Moved by her plight, Rubén took her home and named her Gelatina due to her persistent trembling. A veterinary examination, conducted with the help of vets Graciela Abrajan and Noelia Rivera, revealed that Gelatina was suffering from malnutrition and a nervous system condition likely caused by trauma. Her leg fracture had healed incorrectly, precluding surgical correction. Despite the challenges, a rigorous vitamin treatment improved her condition and reduced the trembling.

Rubén expressed his hope and determination to find Gelatina, stating, “She has suffered a lot on the streets and I don’t want her to endure that again. With everyone’s help, we will find her. Thank you for sharing.”

Anyone with information regarding Gelatina’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the following numbers: (664) 2876917, (664) 1645997, or (664) 2547168. A reward is offered for her safe return.

**Local Support Needed for Rescued Dogs in Rosarito’s Animal Control**

As the search for Gelatina continues, another pressing issue involving dogs in Baja California is garnering attention. Animal Control in Rosarito is seeking support from locals to provide a second chance for rescued dogs. These animals are in desperate need of care and affection after being saved from various difficult circumstances.

Efforts are underway to rehome these dogs, giving them the opportunity for a better life. Community members are encouraged to support by adopting, fostering, or donating supplies and funds to assist with the animals’ ongoing care.

With the right support, these dogs can be rehabilitated and find loving homes, just like what Rubén hopes for Gelatina. For more information on how to help, interested parties can contact Rosarito’s Animal Control directly to see how they can make a difference in these animals’ lives.

If you wish to contribute or get involved, consider reaching out to local animal welfare groups involved with the initiative.
