### Two Suspects Tried for Murder at Community Leader’s Residence in San Quintín

SAN QUINTÍN – A judge has initiated proceedings against two individuals for their alleged involvement in a fatal shooting that took place in the Las Misiones neighborhood of San Quintín. The incident resulted in the death of one man and injuries to two others.

Eugenio Martínez Cruz, the brother of community leader Bonifacio Cruz Martínez, was shot and killed on Sunday, July 21, at the residence of Bonifacio Cruz Martínez, who is a member of the National, State, and Municipal Organizations Alliance for Social Justice.

Following extensive investigations by the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Crimes Against Life, suspects Edgar “N” and César “N” were arrested by State Investigation Agents on August 5 and 6. They are facing charges of premeditated murder and attempted premeditated murder.

The attack resulted in the death of one man, while the other two victims sustained gunshot wounds requiring medical attention. The attackers fled the scene following the incident.

The investigative team gathered enough evidence to identify the culprits, leading to their arrest warrants and eventual capture. During the corresponding court hearing, the public prosecutor successfully linked the two suspects to the trial and imposed preventive detention for the crimes of premeditated murder and attempted premeditated murder.
