## AMLO Extends Regularization of ‘Chocolate’ Cars Until 2026

The President extended the regularization period for “chocolate” cars—imported vehicles from the United States without proper registration—until 2026. This move aims to bring these vehicles into legal status, providing their owners with proper documentation.

According to government reports, this extension offers a window for many car owners in northern Mexico who rely on these vehicles for their daily commuting. The initiative aims to mitigate issues related to vehicle registration and ownership legality, contributing to more orderly transport dynamics in border regions.

In related news, initial actions from the upcoming Rosarito government include the establishment of Morro School and a streamlined single-window service to improve governmental processes.

Additionally, Claudia Sheinbaum, Head of Government of Mexico City, corrected her letter to the Spanish Government regarding the founding date of Tenochtitlan, rectifying a previously stated date.

The Secretary of Governance will soon announce the process of regularizing the Maclovio Rojas settlement, providing legal assurances and infrastructural improvements to residents.
