Four officers from the State Police have been temporarily reassigned in Rosarito following two formal complaints lodged since the state police assumed local security duties on March 7th. According to the Secretary of Citizen Security for Baja California, Laureano Carrillo Rodríguez, one complaint was registered with the State Attorney General’s Office, while the other was directed to the Internal Control Body of the security department.
“We’ve had citizens come forward with these complaints against the state police. So far, there are two formal cases under investigation,” stated Carrillo Rodríguez. He also mentioned that while allegations have been spreading on social media, no further formal reports have been submitted.

In addition, their firearms are being scrutinized for serial numbers and codes.
