Laureano Carrillo RodrÃguez, the Secretary of Citizen Security for Baja California, stated that one complaint has been lodged with the State Attorney General’s Office, while the other was submitted to the Internal Control Body of the security department.
Carrillo RodrÃguez mentioned, “We’ve received complaints involving the state police. Currently, there are two formal complaints, and we are investigating them.” He also noted that allegations spreading across social media are being reviewed, although no additional formal reports have been filed.

Regarding the officers, Carrillo RodrÃguez clarified that they have been reassigned for safety reasons while an investigation is conducted by the Internal Control Body. “There is no evidence linking them to the accusations at this moment, but they have been relocated while we carry out our investigation,” he explained.
Since taking charge on March 7th, the State Police replaced the 264 municipal officers, who are now undergoing thorough psychological, medical, and toxicological evaluations, as well as social background checks and polygraph exams. Their firearms are also being inspected.
