The Secretary of Citizen Security of Baja California, Laureano Carrillo RodrÃguez, reported that one complaint was registered with the State Attorney General’s Office, and another was submitted to the Internal Control Body of the security department.
“We’ve had individuals come forward with complaints about the state police. So far, two formal cases are being investigated,” said Carrillo RodrÃguez. He also mentioned that while there are numerous allegations circulating on social media, no additional official reports have been made.

Since the State Police took over, the 264 municipal officers are undergoing a comprehensive vetting process that includes psychological, medical, and toxicology tests, as well as social background checks and polygraph exams.
