According to Laureano Carrillo RodrÃguez, the Secretary of Citizen Security for Baja California, one of the complaints was officially filed with the State Attorney General’s Office, while the other was directed to the security department’s Internal Control Body. “People have brought forth concerns about the state police, resulting in two formal cases under investigation,” stated Carrillo RodrÃguez.
In response to social media allegations, Carrillo RodrÃguez noted that these claims are being scrutinized, although no further formal complaints have been lodged.

As of March 7th, the State Police assumed responsibility for Rosarito’s security, overseeing the local force’s 264 municipal officers.
