Four officers from the State Police have been temporarily reassigned in Rosarito due to two formal complaints lodged since the state police assumed control of local security operations on March 7th. Baja California’s Secretary of Citizen Security, Laureano Carrillo Rodríguez, stated that one complaint was filed with the State Attorney General’s Office, and another with the Internal Control Body of the security department.

“We’ve had individuals step forward with complaints against the state police. To date, there are two formal cases undergoing investigation,” Carrillo Rodríguez said. He added that allegations on social media are being examined, although no further formal reports have been received.
