Recently, four officers from the State Police in Rosarito have been temporarily relieved of their duties following two official complaints lodged since the state police assumed control over local security on March 7th. The Secretary of Citizen Security for Baja California, Laureano Carrillo Rodríguez, stated that one complaint was filed with the State Attorney General’s Office, while another was directed to the Internal Control Body of the security department.

Carrillo Rodríguez elaborated, “We’ve had individuals come forward with complaints about the state police. Currently, there are two formal cases, and we are conducting investigations.” He also addressed rumors circulating on social media, noting that while they are being considered, no additional formal reports have been made.

Carrillo Rodríguez further clarified that the officers have been relocated for their safety while the Internal Control Body carries out its investigation. “There is no concrete evidence linking them to the accusations yet, but they have been reassigned during this process,” he explained.
