According to Baja California’s Secretary of Citizen Security, Laureano Carrillo Rodríguez, one complaint was filed with the State Attorney General’s Office, and another was presented to the Internal Control Body of the security department.
“We’ve received complaints concerning the state police, with two formal cases currently under investigation,” stated Carrillo Rodríguez. He also mentioned that allegations circulating on social media are being reviewed, although no additional formal reports have been filed.

Since March 7th, the State Police have taken over security in Rosarito, replacing 264 municipal officers who are undergoing a rigorous vetting process. This includes psychological, medical, and toxicology assessments, social background checks, and polygraph exams. Even their firearms are being checked for serial numbers and codes.
