## Four Law Enforcement Officers Temporarily Suspended in Rosarito Amid Allegations
Following allegations of misconduct, four members of the Citizen Security State Force (FESC) have been temporarily relieved of their duties in Rosarito. These allegations surfaced after the FESC assumed control of security in the area on March 7. The Secretary of Citizen Security for Baja California, Laureano Carrillo Rodríguez, shared that two formal complaints have been filed against state officers since then.
Rodríguez noted, “There have been complaints submitted to us about the activities of the State Security Forces. So far, we have received two formal complaints—one submitted to the prosecutor’s office and another to the Internal Control Body of the Citizen Security Secretariat.”
In addition to these formal complaints, various accusations have been circulating on social media. Rodríguez confirmed that these are also under investigation, although no further formal complaints have been officially reported.
Regarding the status of the officers in question, Rodríguez stated, “The officers have been temporarily reassigned to ensure their safety, while an internal investigation is underway. There isn’t any concrete evidence linking them to the accusations as of now.”
The FESC’s takeover of Rosarito’s security involved replacing 264 municipal officers who are currently undergoing thorough evaluations. These include psychological tests, medical and toxicological examinations, social and family environment investigations, as well as polygraph tests. Firearms are also being scrutinized for serial number and code verification.
