In the coastal city of Rosarito, four state police officers have been temporarily removed from their positions following two formal complaints filed against them. Since March 7th, when the state police took over local security responsibilities, these officers have been undergoing scrutiny due to the allegations. The Secretary of Citizen Security for Baja California, Laureano Carrillo RodrÃguez, confirmed that one complaint has been lodged with the State Attorney General’s Office, while another was directed to the department’s Internal Control Body.
“We’re currently investigating two formal complaints against the state police, and we’re addressing several allegations that have emerged on social media,” stated Carrillo RodrÃguez. Despite these rumors, no further formal reports have surfaced.
These officers have been temporarily reassigned. However, Carrillo RodrÃguez emphasized that there’s currently no concrete evidence linking them to the allegations, stating, “They have been relocated for precautionary measures while investigations continue.”

This includes psychological, medical, and toxicological tests, along with background checks and polygraph examinations. Even the officers’ firearms are undergoing thorough inspections.
