**Registration for Rita Cetina Gutiérrez Scholarship Opens Monday**

Starting Monday, October 14, registration for the Rita Cetina Gutiérrez scholarship will begin for secondary school students. Guillermo López Reyes, the regional director of the Wellness Secretariat in the eastern zone, shared this announcement during a discussion with a political group in Tijuana. The scholarship offers 1,900 pesos to young students at this educational level and includes an additional 700 pesos for each further child in the same level.

López Reyes explained that the entire secondary school enrollment will be accommodated, with the stipend provided every two months per family. On Monday, three teams from the National Service corps will visit eight schools each to handle registrations and provide information on the necessary requirements and enrollment process.

“The schools will share the names of enrolled students through their registries. Using this information, we require the necessary documents directly from the schools, which will then be processed by the Nation or Wellness Services staff,” López Reyes added.

The scholarship will be available starting in 2025, funded by budget resources from Section 20, which has already been planned for in the spending exercise.

**Additional Information: New Developments in Educational Grants**

In recent updates, the Mexican government is investing heavily in educational support programs across various regions. This initiative aims to increase accessibility to education and reduce dropout rates among young students. Similar programs are being introduced to support primary school students, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder educational progress. Moreover, there are discussions about incorporating digital learning tools and resources within these grants to adapt to modern educational standards. These efforts form part of a broader strategy to enhance educational opportunities nationwide and promote inclusive growth with a focus on future generations.
