The red cards offer clear instructions in Spanish, advising immigrants not to open their doors, not to answer questions, and not to sign any documents without consulting an attorney. The reverse side of the card, in English, allows individuals to assert their rights by stating, “I do not wish to speak with you, answer your questions, or sign your documents.”

However, he encourages maintaining normal routines by attending church, going to work, and taking children to school.
