### Rancho Casián to Celebrate 18th Anniversary with Grand Rodeo Event

Rancho Casián is gearing up for a momentous celebration of its 18th anniversary with a grand rodeo event slated for September 22. This event, which garners participation from top-tier riders both locally and nationally, promises a family-friendly atmosphere.

The announcement was made by Juan Coronado Ruiz, director of the Tijuana Visitors and Conventions Committee (Cotuco), highlighting the event’s significance for Tijuana and the surrounding region. The rodeo not only promotes the sport but also attracts visitors from both sides of the border.

“We congratulate Rancho Casian on its 18th anniversary for contributing to tourism and projecting a positive image of our city through its sporting activities. We wish them all the success,” Coronado said.

Rubén Navarro Peña, director of Rancho Casian, emphasized the steady growth of the rodeo over the past 18 years, in terms of both the number of participating riders and the quality of the competition.

“Our objective is to present and promote the 18th Anniversary of Rancho Casian as a flagship event in the culture of rodeo in our region. We aim to highlight the main activities, invited artists, and the values this event represents,” Navarro stated.

He also pointed out that tradition, equestrian sports, and family togetherness are crucial for Rancho Casian. The event aims to attract sponsors and motivate the general public to join the celebration of this historic occasion.

The roster of bull riders includes Alejandro Benur and Jacobo González (Aguascalientes), Francisco García Torres, and Luis Eduardo Porto (Monterrey). Horseback riders with pretal include César Luévano and Alejandro Benur (Aguascalientes). Javier Rivera from Durango will serve as the guest announcer, known for his expertise in narrating rodeo events. Additionally, Franco Silva “El Bombón” will provide clown entertainment.

The rodeo competition kicks off at 3:00 PM, featuring categories such as bull riding, bareback horse riding, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, pole bending, and roping, with cash prizes for winners and belt buckles for champions. “Las Pioneras” will deliver a special halftime show.

Also present at the event’s announcement were David Tapia, president of the State Rodeo Association of Baja California; Andrés Cano, marketing manager of Comex; and Carlos Jiménez, manager of Rancho Casian.
