**Federal Authorities Raid Another Ranch in Teuchitlán, Jalisco**
On Monday, March 24th, a raid took place at a ranch in the community of La Vega, located in the municipality of Teuchitlán. This location was believed to have been used as a training ground by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). This particular site gained notoriety earlier when, on January 31st, federal authorities rescued 37 young individuals who had been held captive by alleged criminals.
The property is situated approximately 25 kilometers from the Izaguirre Ranch, another training center associated with the criminal organization. This ranch was revisited on March 5th by the Guerreros Buscadores de Jalisco, a local search group.
Federal officials from Mexico City, supported by the Mexican Army, are currently conducting inquiries at the La Vega property. As of now, details regarding the ongoing operation or its ties to the previously discovered Izaguirre Ranch, located in La Estanzuela within the same municipality, have not been disclosed.
The site was initially seized in late January when federal authorities discovered it functioning as a clandestine training camp for the CJNG. During that operation, coordinated by the National Guard, the Defense, and the Attorney General’s Office, 38 individuals were arrested, including 36 men and two women, who were allegedly undergoing training. Authorities also found 18 magazines, over 1,800 cartridges, and four radios at the location.
These detainees were brought before the Public Ministry and subsequently presented to a Control Judge at the Federal Justice Center in Puente Grande. Days later, 37 of the young men were released, as they were deemed victims. The recruits had been drawn from various states, including Jalisco, Estado de México, Veracruz, Quintana Roo, Ciudad de México, and Tabasco. One person was formally charged for possessing magazines and cartridges of various firearm calibers.
The current raid at the La Vega property is likely connected to these previous incidents, as authorities seek to determine if there were any lapses in overseeing the site, akin to what occurred with the Izaguirre Ranch.
