The highly anticipated XXIII edition of the October Festival, themed “Territories of Equality,” promises to be a cultural extravaganza featuring a diverse lineup of artists from Poland, Brazil, and Mexico. Baja California’s Governor, Marina del Pilar, revealed the exciting details during a press briefing on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

With over 130 different activities, the festival will feature a broad range of events, from the immersive Van Gogh exhibition held at the Mexicali Convention Center (October 11, 2024 – January 12, 2025) to free concerts by renowned Mexican singers Flor Amargo and Julieta Venegas. Flor Amargo is set to perform on October 26, while Julieta Venegas will take the stage on November 8, both events taking place on Avenida RevoluciĆ³n.

Additionally, Mexicali will host performances by Moroccan artist Malika Zarra in collaboration with the Circuito Cervantino on October 27. The state administration underscored their commitment to making culture accessible to everyone, stating that efforts are ongoing to bring cultural experiences to the people and open spaces that directly impact thousands of lives.
