Everything is set for the “Noche de Box Mexicana” event taking place this Friday, September 20, 2024, featuring the return of Tijuana’s own Manuel “Baby” Zepeda. The event will be held at Jardín de la Candelaria, organized by Fábrica de Campeones, Guerreros Promotions, and 8 Count Media.
Manuel “Baby” Zepeda (24-6, 10 KOs) will face off against Venezuelan Argenis España (16-3, 14 KOs) in a middleweight bout scheduled for eight rounds. Both fighters successfully made weight and are ready for their match.
“This is a fighter who has been winning, which doesn’t surprise me because I come well-prepared from multiple battles against tough opponents,” said the 27-year-old Zepeda. “I’m here to give it my all.”
“This is a tough fight; I don’t consider it easy at all. It’s a challenge to go against a southpaw, which is why I have been training with left-handed boxers. Winning this fight could open up bigger opportunities,” Zepeda added.
The event will feature a total of 10 fights, including the debut of Elvin, the son of former world champion Humberto “Zorrita” Soto, who will be making his professional debut at age 18. The festivities kick off at 7 PM, with tickets available at the venue starting at 400 pesos for general admission.
