New Ensenada Valle Gateway

The Ensenada-Valle de Guadalupe interchange, a vital infrastructure connecting Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe, was inaugurated to improve traffic flow and promote environmental sustainability, amidst ongoing community engagement on governance issues.

## Completion of the Ensenada-Valle de Guadalupe Interchange Project

The long-anticipated Ensenada-Valle de Guadalupe interchange was officially inaugurated on Thursday, September 12, 2024, after a substantial investment of 268 million pesos. This crucial infrastructure project aims to enhance connectivity between the northern entrance of Ensenada and the renowned wine region, Valle de Guadalupe.

Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda attended the ceremony, marking the completion of a project designed to handle a significant traffic flow of 60,000 to 80,000 vehicles daily. Arturo Espinoza Jaramillo, Secretary of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Territorial Reorganization, explained that the construction was strategically divided into three phases to prevent a total shutdown of the roadways.

The interchange project also included landscaping with native plants, alongside the planting of 40 trees and 20 palm trees to enhance the environment.

During Governor Marina del Pilar’s inspection tour, a group of protesters gathered near the highway. They were demonstrating against a recently approved judicial reform, showcasing the continued public engagement in regional governance issues.
