## Road Closures Ahead! Access Ramps to be Closed for Morelos Node Construction

Starting at 9:00 PM on Monday, September 9, 2024, the access ramps to Morelos Node on Cuauhtémoc Sur Boulevard will undergo significant closures for construction work. These closures are slated to last until 5:00 AM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, as crews perform essential lift operations.

### Planned Closures:
1. Access ramp from Libramiento Sur towards Playas de Tijuana heading to Playas de Rosarito and Santa Fe via Cuauhtémoc Sur Boulevard.
2. Access ramp from Libramiento Sur from 5 y 10 towards Playas de Rosarito and Santa Fe via Cuauhtémoc Sur Boulevard.
3. Access ramp from Libramiento Sur from 5 y 10 towards Zona Centro via Cuauhtémoc Sur Boulevard.

To mitigate traffic disruptions, a contra flow lane will be opened in the direction of Santa Fe and Playas de Rosarito near the gas station on Cuauhtémoc Sur Boulevard.

City officials are encouraging drivers to plan alternate routes and exercise caution during the construction period. The ongoing work is expected to substantially reduce travel time through the Morelos Node from 40 minutes to just 3 minutes once completed.

## Additional News: Construction and Development in Tijuana

In related developments, the vertical construction sector in Tijuana continues to see significant growth, according to local construction associations. This increase comes despite various ongoing infrastructural improvements across the city.

Additionally, efforts to remodel the Playas de Tijuana boardwalk are progressing, with the project expected to conclude by the end of this year. However, not all municipal projects are on track; the current administration will leave around 30 works incomplete, including the Macroplaza Bridge, as reported by the city’s Development and Urban Infrastructure Secretariat.

Residents of Tijuana should also be aware of the ongoing electrical outages caused by high temperatures affecting several neighborhoods. Emergency measures, including the deployment of water trucks, have been taken to support areas like Villa del Campo, particularly impacted by the recent heatwave.

In recent safety news, law enforcement is investigating an armed attack at the Cueva del Peludo bar parking lot. This incident is part of a series of security concerns being monitored closely by local authorities.
