### Módulo Rosa Extends Stay at Monarca Plaza for Another Week

The Módulo Rosa of the Health Secretariat will remain at Monarca Plaza until September 30th, offering free healthcare services to women. This mobile unit provides Pap smear tests and breast exams, as well as free mammogram vouchers. Originally scheduled to stay from July 31st to August 31st, the service period has been extended for another month.

Throughout this year, the Módulo Rosa has been stationed at different locations such as Macroplaza and Las Fuentes Plaza. In addition to the aforementioned services, the unit offers HPV testing for women aged 35 to 64, cervical cytology or Pap smears for those aged 25 to 34, annual clinical breast exams for women aged 25 to 39, and mammograms for women aged 40 to 69, all at no cost.

During the inauguration at Monarca Plaza, Enrique Campos, the Deputy Medical Director of Health District 2, highlighted the importance of early diagnosis. In the last campaign at Las Fuentes Plaza, 8 out of 400 women tested positive for cancer, underscoring the critical role of these services in identifying breast and cervical cancer early.

Prostate antigen tests for men over 45 years old are also available at the module. Interested individuals can visit from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Visitors are required to bring a government-issued ID, not be menstruating, and for breast cancer tests, they should ensure that their underarms are shaved and free of deodorant or chemicals.

### Additional News: Breast Cancer Awareness Initiatives in Tijuana

In recent developments related to healthcare services in Tijuana, multiple initiatives have been launched to raise awareness about breast cancer. Mobile mammography units have been dispatched to various locations, helping to bring vital screening services to vulnerable communities.

These mobile units, often referred to as “Mammogram on Wheels,” are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by trained healthcare professionals. They aim to make cancer screening more accessible to women who might otherwise face barriers due to distance, cost, or lack of information.

Local health authorities have reported a significant number of early detections thanks to these mobile units, emphasizing the importance of regular screenings. The initiative has garnered positive feedback from the community, with many praising the convenience and thoroughness of the service.

As these efforts continue, the hope is to increase early detection rates and reduce the prevalence of advanced-stage breast cancer, ultimately saving more lives through timely intervention and treatment.
