Mobile Health Center Arrives in Villa Jesús María, San Quintín

A mobile health center is set to offer essential medical services in Villa Jesús María, located over 300 kilometers from the municipal headquarters of San Quintín. From Tuesday, October 8, through Saturday, October 12, residents can access a wide range of healthcare services at the Ignacio Zaragoza Primary School, situated on Emiliano Zapata Street, between Miguel Alemán Valdez and República Mexicana, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The Secretary of Health, Adrián Medina Amarillas, announced that the mobile health centers will provide general medical consultations, vital sign monitoring, dental check-ups, clinical laboratory tests, mammograms, chest X-rays, electrocardiograms, pelvic-obstetric-renal ultrasounds, dental care, lice prevention, bone density tests, psychological services, audiometry, and optometry—all at no cost to the public.

Medina Amarillas emphasized the importance of these centers in the early diagnosis and treatment of diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cancer, tuberculosis, and various respiratory and gastrointestinal conditions. He encouraged the local community and nearby areas to take advantage of these free services, as the mobile caravans will be stationed for several days to serve as many individuals as possible.

In addition to Villa Jesús María, mobile health services will also be available in other regions, including the Ejido Villa Hermosa in the Valle de Mexicali at the basketball court next to the Community Hall, and in Tijuana at the Community Center of the Progreso neighborhood in Quintas Campestres, El Florido, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Efforts Expand Across Baja California to Improve Health Access

In a continued effort to bring critical health services to underrepresented communities across Baja California, mobile health units are making their rounds throughout the state. In the upcoming weeks, these units will focus their efforts on regions with limited access to healthcare facilities. The government aims to bridge healthcare gaps and address common health concerns swiftly and effectively.

These mobile health centers are especially beneficial for remote areas where traveling to urban hospitals or clinics is difficult. By relocating to various communities, these centers offer residents the opportunity to receive necessary medical attention close to home. Services include not only standard medical check-ups but also specialized care aimed at common conditions affecting northern Mexico’s population.

As healthcare needs continue to grow, the implementation of these mobile units reflects a significant move towards providing comprehensive health support for all residents, regardless of their geographical location. The initiative further reassures the public that equitable healthcare is a priority in Baja California.

Stay informed of upcoming locations and dates, as the mobile health centers journey across the state to bring vital services closer to those who need them most.
